A bride and her groom walking down the church steps to cries by the soldiers of 'To Arms!'.

From the painting by Edmund Blair Leighton (1853 - 1922). Leighton was an English painter of historical genre scenes, specializing in Regency and medieval subjects.

From “Modern Etching and Engraving: With Examples by Leading Artists” by Basil Hansard published as part works by Virtue & Co., 7 City Garden Row, City Road, London circa 1914

Image size 9 7/8 inch x 6 7/8 inch

The engraving, on thick wove paper, is in very good condition. Reverse side blank.
