Seller's Description

Book Description
The capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador has historical roots as far back as the early 1500s. Since then, many colourful events have combined to give St. John's its unique personality.

Clashes between the English and French, flamboyant politicians, living ghosts and haunted houses, and the rise and fall of courageous men and women have shaped its character. Today the city stands tall and proud against bitter Arctic winds and the wild Atlantic Sea.

Veteran St. John's writers Frank Galgay and Michael McCarthy have teamed up to give a fitting tribute to this magnificent seaport and unforgettable legacy.
