SYNOPSIS:  The crew of the USS Enterprise must shake off the vengeful threats of the Klingon Korol, when they are assigned a diplomatic mission to the planet Perry.  The planet wishes to join the Federation, and, at first glance, it seems pleasant and reassuringly peaceful.  But Kirk and Spock soon become disturbed by Wayne Perry, the planet's enigmatic leader, and by the mysterious force of the planet which seems to paralyse both the inhabitants and the Enterprise crew, making them unable to defend themselves.  A strategy for peace - but one that leaves the Enterprise at the mercy of Klingon aggression, and facing a dual threat from the subhuman Immunes, a mutant race on Perry that can resist the planet's force....
