Synopsis
Arthur thinks he`s just another ordinary guy of 31 getting up in the morning to face another ordinary day in an ordinary Midlands town. He evades his girlfriend Fay`s latest hints about commitment and babies to leave for work at the council offices where today at the latest crazy whim of management he`s expected to reapply for his job as town planner. But hey today there`s something different about Arthur. Why can`t he shake off that strange dream about horses he had last night? And why does the ridiculous psychology test he`s given to do appear to be sending him arcane messages? And who really is Gwyneth the beautiful martinet of a management consultant in charge of the whole charade? Nothing is quite as it seems -- and that includes Arthur. In the course of a short day he defenestrates a photocopier wrestles his Lynx-scented boss Ross for his job faces up to Fay -- that is he evades her questions once too often -- and is given a secret mission that will change the life of himself and his motley team.
