'ASCENDANCE' SMALL CANVAS BY ANNE STOKES
Ascendance is the design featured on this small canvas plaque from the magical imagination of Fantasy artist Anne Stokes. The angel holds a key in her left hand as she floats upwards to the heavens. With her other hand she guides a bubble of light, representing a soul. She is dressed in white, traditionally a colour associated with purity and she has a sun ray motif on the front of her dress. The sky behind is a sunset, as the time of day is ending, again symbolic of the life that has drawn to a close and is now in her safe keeping to deliver on. An image that has meaning, to convey a sentiment of blessing and care.
