Seller's Description
This is a lot of three commemorative postcards relating to the French military. They are :
- a card commemorating the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Troupes Coloniales, the French Colonial Troops, issued in 1950 with an appropriate stamp. The central anchor design is embossed, and the card is 150mm x 100mm.
- a card commemorating General Leclerc, commander of Free French forces in North Africa and Europe during WW2, issued in 1953 with an appropriate stamp. The card is 150mm x 105mm.
- a card marking the 'Voie de la Liberte', a bicycle route marking the route of the Allied forces in 1944, issued in 1947 with an appropriate stamp. The card is 140mm x 89mm.
The cards are in fair condition, with some wear to the corners and edges, and some marks.
