Seller's Description
This is a lot of two postcards showing slightly different views of the village of Glencaple, near Dumfries. They are :
- a view of the village with a large house near the left side and other houses off to the right. It was published by Tuck, as part of their set 'Dumfries - Series IV', with a "deckled" edge, and was posted in 1919. The card is in fair condition, with minor wear to the edges and corners, a slight mark at top left on the front, and some fading on the back.
- another view with the same large house in the middle, but showing more houses on the left side. It has an address and message, but no stamp. The card is in fair condition with some wear to the corners and edges, and a few marks on back and front. There is a slight nick out of the left hand edge.
