A tough to find programme from Stoke City's second adventure into the UEFA Cup inside 3 years, having finished 5th in the First Division in 1973/74 season. Alas, as with their appearance in 1972/73, they fell at the first hurdle again - this time only on away goals to Ajax, who were European Champions for the 3 preceeding years! Having drawn 1-1 at home in first leg, and with 1966 World Cup legend Geoff Hurst up front, Stoke couldn't find a goal and this second leg in Amsterdam finished 0-0 - so Stoke exited the competition without losing
