This is a extremely well documented car. Three owners, car came from second owners estate. Original owner still alive. Documents include tank build sheet (difficult to read) protect-o-plate and numerous records of registrations, a book of the cars milestones with mileage documentation and maintenance, as well as a detailed and document record of the frame off restoration including over 700 digital photographs.

The car; 1968 Corvette Convertible, 427 390 HP. Paint code 983 (British Green Poly) , Interior STD (standard black), Engine L36, code IL Transmission: Muncie M21 Close ratio, Rear Axle:3:70 HD Posi code FA.

All components are the original "born with" assemblies including Engine, Transmission, Rear Axle, Starter, Alternator, Distributor, carb, wheels. The only non original component is the Smog pump, the pully and pipes are original but the pump is not. Smog pump has had vanes removed and pipes are plugged.

Car was well maintained and not driven in the winters. Purchased new at Bass Chevrolet in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Original family owned until 1975, then sold to Dennis Bowman in Uniontown Ohio (Akron). Mr. Bowman owned until his death 2 years ago. In the last to years the car has undergone a complete frame off restoration following the NCRS guidelines. Every color is correct, stencils, marking are all correct. Items such as the brake backing plates were restored and plated the correct cadmium by Elyria plating. The engine build is through documented showing correct bearing gaps and crankshaft end play. Engine receipt is saved and sorted in alphabetical and chronological order. All photos are printed in a 3 ring binder and stored on CD and thumb drive.

Car does include correct removeable black vinyl hardtop. Original owner states it is not original to car, second owner purchased the top. It has been fully restored as well.

Car has been professionally Tuned by Gary Box at Box Corvette. Runs Great!
