1966 States of Jersey Channel Islands 5/-d 5 Shillings Crown Coin
This is a 1966 States of Jersey Channel Islands 5/-d 5 shilling crown coin as shown. This item comes with no papers, box etc, it was made in copper-nickel by the UK Royal Mint. The coin was issued in 1966 to recall the Battle of Hastings. The coins are housed in plastic, according to Numista there were 30,000 proof conditions coins issued, i do not know if these are proof or not. There were 300,000 issued otherwise. The coin is housed in a screw capsule and it can be removed without causing damage.
Condition as photos, general handling and storage marks etc. The coin has some tone marks on both sides that can be polished out with care i am told.
