Great *RARE* vintage paperback book from 1956 by Alfred Kazin on his interpretation of modern American prose literature. Photo 15 shows a split in the binding on the crease between pages 250 and 251. Photo 16 shows pen writing from 1958 on an initial page. Binding and other pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 69 years old.
