This sale is for an antique copy of "Sons & Lovers" by D.H Lawrence first published in 1913. This edition was published in 1955 by Collins and printed by Collins Clear-Type Press. The cover is plum red linen hardcover (though flexible, not as rigid as modern day hardcover books. There is a gold colour crest on the front cover of the book and the title and publisher on the spine. On the rear of the cover, there are two indented stars at the bottom right.

Stuck to the first page, there is sheet titled "Christchurch Girls' High School". Under the title, is a crest, identical to the crest on the front cover.
