"I, Wilber Knight Smith, of 174 Avenue sherman, Denver in the County of Arapahoe and State of Colorado, United States of America, Inventor, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The invention relates to improvements in devices for shifting switch tongues for street railways, the object being to provide a simple switching device carried by a car and so arranged that by foot pressure the motorman may cause the shifting of a switch..."
