1901 ALFRED DREYFUS "FIVE YEARS OF MY LIFE" DREYFUS AFFAIR HARDBACK BOOK (P5)
Great antique 1ST EDITION hardback book from 1901 by Lt-Colonel Alfred Dreyfus who was a French officer known for his central role in the Dreyfus Affair (see wikipedia) and this book covers his experiences being imprisoned on Devil's Island for 5 years. Contains photos and illustrations. Photo 21 shows an old price in pencil by a previous bookseller. Photos 8 & 22 show a split in the binding between two pages on the crease. Photo 23 shows a gap between pages and spine but cover attached okay and no loose pages but binding feels a bit wobbly. Other pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 124 years old.
