A 560 page "Cabinet Edition" measuring 6 X 4 1/2 inches. Tightly bound, with pristinely clean cover and spine

Published by Houghton & Mifflin & The Riverside Press, the inside flyleaf is inscribed as a gift to Nellie Atkinson of Morrow, Ohio. February 12, 1898. Also, previous owner's names of Will Gibbs and Dorothy Hollingerworthe. Several passages are pencil notated, but there are no tears, creases or missing pages.

The writing covers a variety of subjects, including, memorial verses, sonnets, The Biglow Papers, heartsease and rue, poems of the war, sentiment, fancy, humor and satire, epigrams and more. Only the first of 7 pages of contents is shown.
