Peonies are a cottage garden staple. I recommend the use of plant supports with Peony ‘Candy Stripe’ to preserve and enjoy the large silky, powderpuff blooms for as long as possible. Culinary note: The petals can be added to salads, or cooked slightly and sweetened for a treat. Peony water was also once considered a delicacy and the blooms can be floated in punches. You are bidding for 1 bare root plant.

Before you plant your Peony, check to see where the highest bud is on the crown of the plant. The highest bud needs to be planted just 5cm (2") below soil level. It’s important not to plant it too deeply as this can delay or even prevent the plant from flowering. Tamp the soil down gently and don’t forget to water it afterwards to settle the soil.
