General Comments: This is a preprint of a paper published in 1992 concerning coordinate transformations that space scientists typically do. It provides a standard set of techniques to transform coordinate systems as would be used in say the European Space Agency’s European Space Information System. It should be of interest to anybody who wants a copy of this paper, but also to students interested in learning about space coordinate transformations as used in satellite navigation and transforming between geocentric (Earth-based) and heliocentric (Sun-based) systems.
