Well done chaps. Keep up the good work.
Sorry to hear that Captain Jewels. Hope you feel better soon. Now you get back to bed with a hot toddy.

We don't want you spreading it amongst the ranks !

Talking of hot toddy's or even cold ones for that matter - welcome to the regiment Private Delta the mess is that way > for the traditional buying your Sergeant Major a drink !

Glad you are stocking up with things to list . LOL -Much more important than food and water in the Captain' s books !

A new recruit! Hello Private Delta. Hope the auction was a success. Don't forget to get the Sgt. Major a drink - she puts you on latrine duty otherwise.

Good morning, and I hope the Captain is feeling better today. I shall make sure the 'special' porridge will be available and of course a nice strong coffee. For myself it will be a pot of green tea. But I am willing to share. This morning I must pack the YDC things and then I should attack my ironing. It's beginning to overflow the basket Who knows, I might find things I decide I don't want anymore and can list

If I ask a question starting with: Can you...? I probably get the answer: I can (as in I am capable) To get something done I have to ask: Will/would you ...please

I hope I haven't given you any ideas

....... You mean like when I sent mine to a DIY place yesterday to get a tin of kitchen paint that was as near a match to a golden mustard colour as he could get and he comes home with a tin of very pale insipid primrose because it was £5 off !
I spent hours last night getting the first coat on and it looks dreadful .... even Cadet Huw walked in and said that if his dad didn't go and buy a decent colour then he would pay for a can of paint !!!

And there was me thinking he might have offered to paint as well!!
My lovely German books arrived this morning. (so far I am impressed with the translation) I have to say I was worried: So much 'Fragile' tape, and the package was rattling I am pleased to say nothing was broken, just the lid had come off the tube of my gift and I had an easter egg hunt

"can you take the plates out to the kitchen" appears to mean.... "can you take the plates out into the kitchen...... can you put them in the sink.... can you add water to the bowl..... can you put some washing up liquid in the bowl"
    In my house
    O/H never hears.
Private honehe puts washing up in soak then goes out for the rest of the day.
With cadet toz, I only have to say his name and I get "it wasn't me, I didn't do it"
    I give up.

You have my full sympathy Lance Corporal Wizbooks. I'm just watching Cadet Huw he has just cooked himself some sort of concoction and then left all the dirty stuff on the work surface above the dishwasher. Apparently it is too much effort to actually open the dishwasher door and put it in !
