You are not doing too badly yourself, considering there are less of you

Thanks Meebo that's true. Hopefully our numbers will increase but I really don't look for that to happen until after the summer. But, I have been wrong before. It's still fun and the Charities are still the winners.

    Well done everyone.
    Another successful YDC.

Can I thank all the bidders and buyers for doing a great job.

And a big thanks to KLJ for putting in all the hard work for Cornishmaid who has disappeared somewhere and is probably lying on her back, soaking up the sun and sniggering.

Its a great total - well done to everyone - the sellers for donating their items and payments and for the buyers who are responsible for the high bids.

    Congrats to all

    Wow !!!!!!!
What a wonderful total ! That is amazing! Thank you so much all you wonderful people. Shelterbox are going to be really chuffed.
They will need every penny with the latest Italian disaster so your hard work will really help.

'Tent city' set up in Italian village
Wednesday 8 April – ITALY: A ‘tent city’ to house more than 300 homeless people has been put up in the village of Assergi, close to the epicentre of the 6 April earthquake in central Italy. “The village is in the mountains where the temperature falls below zero at night,” says ShelterBox Response Team (SRT) volunteer John Diksa. “We have set up two camps with 20 tents in each so that the community remains close together. Everyone now has a roof over their heads.” ShelterBox is working with the local disaster relief co-coordinator to identify other nearby villages that require emergency shelter. “We are working through a list of villages in need of our help, and we will be getting assistance to them as quickly as we can,” adds John. An additional 200 tents will be arriving in the area on 9 April. ShelterBox has a four-person volunteer team in Italy, including Nicola Jones who is on her first deployment. Nicola and fellow SRT volunteer Andrew Biss drove through the night to Italy on 6-7 April with the first consignment of aid. They were met by John Diksa who was in the disaster area just six hours after the earthquake struck.
