Congratulations on first sale. Try this little trick:when you get notice of a sale, email buyer immediately and remind them you give shipping discount if they buy two (I give free shipping on second item). Could get you an extra sale right when they are in a buying mood!! Works every time (or almost every time).

Consensus seems to be that the most productive option is to list your items for 8 - 10 days with 10 auto-reposts. That allows your items to rise up to the top of search results and increases their visibility. If you do that you only have to manually re-submit them 3 times a year so it is not much more work than just leaving them languishing.
Hi, I cannot find the 10 auto reposts option, could you point me in the right direction?
    Thanks Alice

I have just joined eBid, but I have 66 listings in my 2 stores. The above quote has me puzzled. Doesn't eBid email you when something has been purchased? The first thing I do when I return home from anywhere is run to the computer and check my email to see if anything has been sold. Since eBay notifies us by email, I figured eBid would too. Am I mistaken in this?

No you are not mistaken, eBid does email you if you have made a sale unless you have changed your preferences, go to my eBid > then click on my emails on right > make sure that the relevant check boxes are checked regards what emails you want to receive.

Also make sure donotreply@ebid.net is marked as safe and not being sent to you junk folder as this has happened in the past, this is what it says at the top of email page

Control the emails you receive. Don't forget to add donotreply@ebid.net to your address book or email whitelist to ensure our emails aren't gobbled up by your spam filter.

No. The OP's problem was that they had changed their email address and updated PooPal but neglected to update eBid. So eBid notifications were vanishing into the void and payment was being made to a no longer existing PooPal account.
