Thanks all - I've faved the thread so we don't lose it and we can come back to it once he / she / it arrives.

I do hope that the predictions of 8lb and 9 lb weights don't come true - Mrs Gaz is 5' 0" in her stillettoes and weighs all of 7 1/2 stone wet through.

For whoever asked about exact time of the last one - there's a thread on here with photos somewhere from September 2007 - it also has time, weight etc. Both his sisters were just after midnight - about 12:30 if I remember right.

Patriot - we do have a telly, but all the programs are in Thai and I don't understand ... so I gotta do sumfink while the missus is in a giggle mood wiv her attention elsewhere ain't I?

Huddy - spot on mate - us blokes do have to do all the hard work - specially after the little blighters arrive and money's needed to feed and take care of them. It's why us men die younger than them wimmin innit?

All mine were early! I'd only left work two weeks when the first arrived (thought I had at least a month) but no -

Oooohhh the excitement ... the anticipation .....

Up until Monday this week, the doc and the missus were all set for sometime around the end of this month, then after a checkup (or should that be a checkdown?) on Monday evening, the doc decided Missis Gaz had to go in today if baby was not making it's own plans.

As far as the sweepstake goes, - playtowin (appropriately named) was closest with 22 Sept ... does it count if birth is induced early?

Baby Pawasdee (pronounced Pah-wa-dee) arrived at 2:09pm this afternoon (Bangkok time) weighing 3.3Kg.
She has masses of wavy black hair (unlike her brother Edward who still looks like he has none) and is going to be a singer (again unlike Edward, who never squawked once in his first 48 hours).

She has Tan's eyes and nose, and at times looks likes Tan's Mum, and at other times like my Mum's Mum. She's also a fuss-puss and won't lie still if no-one is holding her or giving her a finger to hold onto.

Tan is doing surprisingly well - labour was only 2 hours (induced) and she might be getting kicked out of the hospital tomorrow (i.e. within 24 hours of going in). As neither the doctor or the nurses had ever seen me, they were surprised at Pawasdee's light colouring, elicited that her dad is a westerner, and immediately bumped Tan from a four-bed side ward to a private room .... at 2 1/2 times the price of where she was first put. Grrrrr. Tan's going to try and swing the whole thing under the 30-Baht (50p) government health scheme (good girl - she's finally learning <wink>).

Half the village were at the hospital this evening, including all the Grannies and Aged-Aunts, nieces, cousins and so on. Tan will be going straight over to the village for a month when she's released so they can fuss over her and the kids ... and so I can have a serious month's work trying to rebuild my online income, because we're sure going to need it - the decision has been made to shut Tan's bricks and mortar shop before the end of this month, because it's making less than a quid a day and not covering costs (obviously). And that comes on top of fleece-bay giving me a prolonged forced holiday that started on 31 August (I've got zilch earnings so far this month).

I'll be posting photos in my album on FaceBook a bit later, once I've got all the emails sent (if you haven't got a link - just search FaceBook for this selling ID - you'll find me.

Dunno if it'll work, but I'll try linking to the photos there to also post them on here. Gimme an hour or so as they have to be web-optimised first.

    Gaz
