ISBN number stock book/audioCD photos

Hello,
I am a newbie at eBid, and haven't been able to locate this bit of info I need. Is there a way to access stock photos for book and audio CD listings after inserting their ISBN numbers into a database search? This would, of course, simplify a listing by eliminating the need to photograph each item myself.

Hi SalesMeister a warm welcome to ebid. I'm afraid I don't know about that one as my books are secondhand so I use standard listing and my own photos to show the condition of the book. I hope somebody will be along soon that can help.

When you have settled in get a signature link on to your listings so we can have a nose. This thread will help you.

If you're listing books, once you've selected your category you can opt to list with "pre filled" information and providing the ISBN number, but I don't know if the prefilled info includes an image. I've never used it myself before. I list so few books that I tend to take my own photographs.
I am sure there will be a regular bookseller along shortly who will be more helpful then me.

I think Jude uses the pre-filled forms - she might know. My impression is that there's no pictures, but like the others I don't actually use it.

Look them up on Abe or Bookfinder?

these dont have barcodes, there really old bible's, i only mentioned it as one makes reference to the king that is on the throne (at the time of the book)

You don't need barcodes for either of those sites, you can search by many things: title, author, publisher etc.

I use the 'stock information' for my books.

Sometimes when I put in the ISBN, the photo comes up, but if it doesn't, I put the one I have photo'd.
Often if you put a title in, instead, you can get a choice of photos - just pick the right one.

If there is no stock synopsis, I add that too ( in an effort to expand the database) as I have the time. People coming after can change the photo, but NOT the synopsis - so its a bit pathetic if someone has just put 'Detective story' or 'Women's romance'!

I know there are quite a few people who are contributing to the book database, some more effectively than others.
