Ah, okay, at least I understand now. So that's two of us that want to get it working... probably not enough for a petition yet.![]()

I have been exploring the possibility of using Amazon Payments several places I am setting up to do busines.
Today on the Customer Support forums on BISI I found a horror story about Amazon that we should all keep in mind.
This Seller had an Amazon Seller Account for 6 years no problems. Then opened an Amazon Payments to use in selling. Shortly Amazon closed their account claiming that they were a bad Seller who was using a previously closed for cause account. When Seller asked for details Amazon refused to give any and said they were holding the money from the account for 90 days even though there was proof of delivery for all items that had been sold.
Seller retained a lawyer who called Amazon. Suddenly Amazon found they could talk about the matter. It turned out that Amazon had confused this Seller with a bad Seller whose accoiunt had been closed for cause. And Amazon confused the good Seller's bank account with that of the bad seller EVEN THOUGH the good Seller lives in a different state from the bad Seller.
Now Amazon is offering to re-open the Seller's account. Of course after that nasty treatment by Amazon Seller is not about to use Amazon again for anything.
Here is a copy of Seller's post about this:

They somehow confused my bank account with someone else (who doesn't even live in the same state as I)
who had a sellers account and it was closed. They offered to reopen the account,
but I'm not sure what else they've said. I do know I will not be offering Amazon Payments again though.
They can keep their account.

BE WARNED.
I just registered today, and have been browsing the help pages and the forums, but am still a little unclear as to how the payment system works. I use Paypal for my other auction site, but it looks like you have to be a seller+ in order to use it here. If I've read correctly, as a seller I can't use Paypal directly, but have to email the buyer and get a reply from them to arrange for payment? Am I correct? Thanks
Yes, you have to have seller plus to use integrated invoicing/payment. But without it, there's nothing to stop you just sending paypal money requests to the buyer's email (provided in the sale records).

Just say in your auction description what payments you take - paypal, checks, etc.... the after the auction ends tell the winner how to pay... maybe ebid won't let you invoice PP but you don't have to use their invoice system, hell they are "only a venue" (where have we heard that before?).
