Number of views bug

I have an item listed which had 11 views a couple of days ago. When looking at my auctions yesterday it had 10 views and right now it has 9 views. The item isn't a TARDIS.

We've recently changed the way we count views and we are having a few teething problems. A fix is being worked on. We have 300% more visitors and pages to serve than 12 months ago this was the reason we tinkered with the views counter to ease some pressure, our database was getting hit thousands of times a second with updates to view counters.

Thanks for info Gazza - that possibly explains the currently really strange low hits on some of my more popular items (was beginning to think I was invisible). I do hope the fix will include sellers looking at their own items not being counted as viewing "hits" as that really distorts the overall count in trying to assess interest in listed items.
