Autumn competition

Now it's autumn and we're all busy listing for the Christmas rush (we hope).

Autumn Competition: Can you identify what the pictured item is?
There is no prize, but whoever identifies 'what this is' correctly can call themselves "(Mr, Ms, or Mrs) Cleverclogs" or if you prefer "eBid's Bright Star".

Once identified correctly I will list the item. It is in perfect condition, no maker's mark, weighs over 900grams and is approx. 270mm long x 190mm wide x 80mm high.
