    Smile First store online today!

    Hi everyone,

At last I have got around to setting up my first store. Got a bit more work to do on adding stock but one auction is now up and running. Any comments on my store/banner would be appreciated. Happy selling! Clive (goldsovereign)

Clive--Nice banner! You need to put it in your signature and make it clickable to your store. FYI-if you were selling in the states you would probably have to change the name of your store. Here on HSN (Home Shopping Network) is a program called "The Coin Vault". They hawk overpriced late model stuff and are generally a bunch of rip offs! Good luck and welcome!!

Hi and thank you! I have a problem with the signature banner. It uploaded ok on the 'edit signature' page and I saved it. However, as you can see it doesn't appear below. Have ticked the 'show signature' box for all replies. Or do I have to attach the banner file (manage attachments) every time I send mail? Suggestions would be most welcome.

Clive--Sounds like you've done everything right so far. When you upload the banner and save, next to the save button is a preview button. click it and at the top of the page you should see the banner in the current signature box. If you don't then something is wrong. Should only have to do this once unless you want to change banners. It has to be no larger than 310X90 pixels to work. If its bigger then is just won't save. Making it clickable to your store is another step. I struggled through and can't be of much help, however, Jewel effects has a post somewhere explaining that step by step. I'll see if I can find it and let you know.

Think I found it. If this works, it should help a lot. Jewell (Jan) knows what she's doing.

poppa hi! I created my shop banner by following Jan's instructions. It was so easy. The banner size is 310x90 and works fine for my shop so I can't see why the signature banner is such a problem. Thanks for your help, I guess the best course of action is to mail Jan for assistance.

Thanks maplegin. It is a pleasure being here on ebid even with less sales than on the darkside. I hope that soon changes as I really don't want to return there. Just needs ebid to 'grasp the nettle' and seriously expedite and act upon us sellers concerns and suggestions for site improvements, especially to category additions.
