Thread: Please get rid of.. Run Until Sold

I list all my stuff run till sold, I do want to sell it BUT I have limited time as I work away, I appreciate it appears at the end but thats the way it has to be, if I want to appear at the top of the listing then I pay the extra fee. Changing run till sold to "Store Inventory" or similar is a good idea.

Rather than the flashing R maybe have the price in red for reserve not met or no bids and it changes to green when reserve met or bid placed (that meets reserve)

    Just my five pence worth.
    Carry on :-)

I see your point of changing the "run until sold" to something else, but "store inventory" is a bit too much like fleabay, non? How about "stashed in the back of the broom cupboard" or something like that?

Personally, as a buyer 'run til sold' means nothing to me. If I want the item and it's a good price, I'll buy it. It makes no difference to me at all how long it's running for (unless it's an auction of course).

"Rather than the flashing R maybe have the price in red for reserve not met or no bids and it changes to green when reserve met or bid placed (that meets reserve)"

Now this I think is a brilliant idea. Although I have got used to the flashing 'r's now, when I first looked at this site they confused me. I actually thought listing with flashing 'r's had some kind of special offer on!

Okay, how about this... I, myself, have a lot of stuff listed on eBid as "Run Until Sold". I prefer that method because it makes it easier to keep a lot of my less expensive items listed. However, I don't like the fact that the phrase "Run Until Sold" is shown right next to the item name on the item's page. Potential buyers could be turned off having that phrase next to the items name. So let's keep the function... I REALLY REALLY like this function... but I see no need for it to be advertised to the buying public that the item is there "virtually forever".

Sort of like me in a way... although I'm cheap and easy, I see no need to wear a T-shirt advertising this fact to the public... but that doesn't mean I want to change! (I'M MAKING AN ALLEGORY HERE, BY THE WAY!!)

I'm the same & have most things listed on "Run till Sold". I also agree i don't feel having the phrase next to it is needed.

My view. please KEEP run until sold and all the other choices ebidders currently have. Individual choice is one of the big plusses about ebid.
