Have a good day Private Meebo. I'll tell them to give the hamster some extra rations for when you get back!

hes been working very hard to get those good marks.
He's off to do his 'A' levels in September (Maths, English, History & Biology) but has to change school as his present school doesn't have a sixth form. Now I wonder why he has choosen to go to the sixth form of a girl's school ?!!!

Tell him well done from me.
And as a parent it's a lovely feeling when they come home with good results, so I hope you got a family celebration planned.

Thank you Corporal Postcards. He's got his girlfriend staying with us at the moment, so he will be celebrating with her and his friends today, but we will all be going out when we go down to Cornwall next week so his Grandfather can join in too.

Well as I'm in such a good mood (must be the gin with the lemsip) and it's a special day I'll let you off this time Private Minx! Mind you I have taken the precaution of telling the lads to put their trews on to protect your modesty!!!

....and don't think I don't know what will be going on as my old dad was in the Seaforth Highlanders in world war II. He was very fond of his Glasgow pals and they taught my very English father a few good tricks I can tell you!!!

Good lord Officer Cornish maybe he knows my dad he was in the Blackwatch, I am a Glaswedian born and bred and trust me I know all there is about these Highlanders, making them wear their trews is punishment - they like the freedom and fresh air - very healthy and back to nature, any Scotsman or woman will tell you that....
    Sheesh
    , now I'm worried

Lol - now that would be a turn up for the books private Minx !!!

My dad did his training with the 9th Bn. He said it was semi-artic in Wick in January 1942 ! As he was an interpreter he was attached to several different outfits but took the route with the Highlanders through Algiers, Italy and then he was in charge of a prisoner of war camp in Austria that held S.S. Officers. I'll send you a PM.

Cornish, I suggest you buy a pigs heart within the next few weeks and freeze it. Sometime in October all A/S biology students will have to supply one to disect it and you won't be able to get one as there will be a sudden rush for them!
