    I looked at the boots

I couldnt see from the picture what they are made of and it doesnt tell me in the description.

As has been said before - the 2% isnt payable until the items are sold and the only reason I clicked through to the item was because a question was asked here.

If there is no gallery picture I dont bother looking any further

That way they don't stay stuck at the bottom of the pile all the time.
    Worth a try.

Hi Graham good advice I will try. Can you explain how I can put a gallery photo I did try but as I say not very good at the technical stuff but do try.
Thanks to all your advice everyone I will do as you have all advised. May have to do a few at a time. But I will do it. It isn't the money aspect I just didn't realise I am new to this. But I won't give up I have learned so much from all of you very helpful people.
Thanks again please do look in a few days and give me an update please.

    Lorraine,
As far as I know the only way to add a gallery thumbnail is to delete the existing auction and re list a new one selecting gallery as your auction type rather than the free option. Well worth the 2% fvf But a pain in the backside if you have to redo
    all your existing auctions.
Also go to your defaults and set and save them for gallery as well, that way any future listings will have the gallery setting automatically.

Yes I think you need gallery pictures and a bit more in the descriptions.
The quickest way to change all your listings is to download them Then use the bulk uploader to add gallery.
Then delete all your auctions from your shop and upload the new file from the bulk uploader.
Should only take you a few minutes.

If you want to do just a few at a time, I think the easiest way to add a picture is to go into your auction, select list similar, add your picture, then close the original auction.
For downloading and using the bulk lister, try the support forums above - there may be instructions there.

Any ideas anyone I can take criticism so any advice welcome. I have more things to list but work also so it is getting the time.
Hi UniquenMornique, Just had a look at your ads.
I think you really need to expand your titles. Just describing your item as 'Dish' or whatever will not be picked up in many searches. If, for example, you listed an item as 'Large blue Denby stoneware dish' then it would get picked up by people searching for stoneware, or Denby, or dish, or blue items, if you see what I mean!

Certainly with pottery items people want to know who it was made by (if it has a pottery stamp) what condition it's in and how big it is.
Also be careful to get things in the right category, I may be wrong but is that 'Pot teddy' really a Poole item?

I would agree with the others about using a gallery photo. Good luck with the revamp!

Not true The best way would be to List a similar Auction Option and then alter it so you have thumbnail then Delete the original Sounds more comlicated then it is!

    Wink No Sales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????

For those of you who have been with Ebid for awhile do you find that
sales are better during the winter months? Summertime is usually a
active time for families, vacationing etc. Perhaps not as likely to sit
in front of a computer to bid and buy. Do ya think I'm in a state of
denial and frustration? LOL Guess the good news, despite NO SALES, is
they are VIEWING. I shall remain patient...only been a few days!
Thanks for listening, I feel better already!!

Hi Barneysam, A warm welcome to ebid. I only came back here full time in February so haven't done a full year yet but things are bound to be quieter with the school holidays starting.

It's different here to feebay as it's a smaller site so while you are waiting do some work promoting your items. Start by putting on a signature link. This thread will help you.

If you have come from greedbay then email your old customers using your old paypal invoices to let them know where your new home is!

Have a read of the 'Promote eBid and your eBid shop' forum plenty of good ideas up there. Why not offer some of your smaller items overseas too? I have bought some things from an American seller and sold some things to USA buyers, it can greatly increase your chance of sales.

It has been said that feebay are set to make more big changes in August so hang in there and you will be in the right place for when the next flood of people come across in time for the run up to Christmas!
