Always check your supermarket's reduced shelves....

Cheese is usually sold off at half price on the sell by day.... remember hard cheese can be kept for ages if cleanly wrapped and kept cool... any mould can be cut off and it doesn't kill you!! (Unless you are allergic to blue cheeses)

I bought about a kilo of raspberries today , store seconds for £1.48... I have sugared and frozen 3 containers of them now.

Bubblewrap for packing I knick from the bananas and mushrooms in Morrisons!!!

I could go on as I was brought up after the war and we were all good at saving money and making do then

Raindropsies I dont think its meant as anger towards disabled people but more anger towards the rules and regs there are 5 disabled bays in a CP near to me opposite a pub I have only ever seen 1 disabled car parked in it on a fri/sat night the 5 bays stay empty while the rest is full and the cars are that worry about a ticket go into residential streets disturbing everyone when there is 5 empty spaces, its just crazy(only 4 empty spaces if I go though )

The food place that everyone loves to hate (with golden arches) has a loyalty card attached to their coffee cups. Buy 6 and get the 7th free.

If you don't have to go too far to get to the shops, shop on a daily basis for fresh foods - it illiminates waste.
I changed about 5 years ago from weekly shopping to Mon Wed Fri as I drove right past the supermarket everyday anyhow. Back then it saved me about £25 a week.
Nowadays I shop on a daily basis for fresh food and once a month for "longlife" stuff such as tea, coffee, cans, frozen foods, etc.
