Search Plural and Singular

Sorry if this question has already been asked but could not find any reference to it.

When searching for 'shrubs' for instance why does the search not show items listed as 'shrub' as well. Also when entering the word 'shrub' the search only shows those items listed as 'shrub' and does not show those listed as 'shrubs'.

As I will be listing quite a lot of these items including climbers, climber etc in the near future I feel that unless the problem is addressed then sales will be lost.

I have quite a few shrubs listed at the moment but the discription is for shrub as in 'Lovely yellow shrub'. When I do a search for 'shrubs' these items do not show up. Anyone coming to this site and searching for 'Shrubs' will not see my listings and therefore possibly another sale lost.

This glitch seems to apply to all listings in the singular or plural. Does anyone know if there is going to be a fix for this.

Yes, the management are aware of this issue and have stated that they are working on a fix for it.

Hope they fix it soon.

We tried a fix for this a few months ago but the extra work involved bogged down the rest of the site. We are working on a different ay to handle it.

Thanks for the reply. Hope that you can find a solution. I feel that a search facility that identifies both plural and singular at the same time is one of the most important things for an auction site to have.
