As far as I'm aware the Solar System, Milky Way,Galaxy & Universe do not have a currency.
There is also no World currency, if there was it would certainly NOT be the euro, & almost certainly the dollar, as the US would not give up it's currency.

The EU or Euro Zone is all about one thing, standardization, same units of measurements, same laws, straight bananas, square strawberries.
So what comes after the same currency?
    Same language?
    Same human genotype?

If you believe it couldn't happen, did you know that the EU already want to ban dogs with the recessive gene that causes Blue Merle colouring & Blue Eyes, or cats that have the recessive gene for being white with blue eyes!
So once they've standardised everything else including animals, do you really think they wouldn't start on humans?

Try confusing a Frenchman, with a Belgian, an American, with a Canadian,an Australian with a New Zealander, an Austrian with a German, they'll soon put you right. They are proud of their differences.

It's the differences that makes people individuals, it's the differences that makes them unique.

People will always be unique, even if we all had the same money or language. All you have to do is look at fingerprints, which are formed by our movements in the womb. We will always be unique. We need to look at the bigger picture, there are problems in the world that need to be solved globally: HIV, global warming etc. Merging cultures doesn't make us less unique, it encourages friendships with people of all countries, all languages and all cultures. It is a natural development for the human race. We talk about the problems of foreigners moving over here without learning our language, but we don't either, we expect to be able to go to other countries to live without finding out about their culture and laws, and are then surprised when things go wrong. If we all had one currency, we would be able to move around easier between countries. Of course we will not agree with everything europe decides, but we don't always agree with what our own government decides.

I don't agree with a great deal that our government decides but I do at least have the right to vote, & play some part in choosing that government, even if my choice doesn't win, that is all part of the democratic process.
What the EU decides mainly by Un-Elected europrats should not automatically be enforced here.

Me thinks I'm probably debating this with your dad, as well as you Annie

When it comes to the EU we will as always have to agree to disagree.
