    Of course those of us in "the know" realise that so-called light bulbs do not actually emit light so much as suck dark. The Dark Suckers - as they should properly be known - absorb all the dark in their immediate vicinity and attempt to draw in more from further away. More powerful Dark Suckers are able to draw darkness in from a greater distance. So, as you can plainly see, it is only by the absence of dark that a bulb - or Dark Sucker - appears to be light. You can prove this for yourself simply by turning off the power to the Dark Sucker; it will instantly appear to be darker.

    I only stumbled across the Dark Sucker theory a couple of years ago but from a little research I see it has been around for much longer.

    I now see the light!...or should that be I've had the Dark sucked out of me?

    Yes, it is true. We Suckers have been around for a long time and are growing in number. In fact it was once said that there's a sucker born every minute.
