    I've never been aware of any card with mine

    but then I'm not very aware these days

    pmsl @ card, do you mean Hard Drive?

    Have they been messing with the registry?

    Try safe mode and if that doesn't work then reloading windows is an option, but you will more than likely lose any files stored on that hard drive. If you have a spare drive you could plugging it in and try and rescue some.

    Hi Shezz...your error is described here...I have a few ideas but trying to diagnose faults remotely takes forever sometimes...

    The route error flag is showing in the cpu...maybe the cpu is just clogged with dust and over heating.

    Is the cpu running cool . Try reseating the sticks of memory. If you can get the pc running , I would do a reg clean. Just some ideas.

    so did I pmsl but what Frank said about dust could be true - I hoovered mine once and it fixed it
