Hi. I never knew you could block e-cheques. I absolutely hate them but thought you just had to accept them as part of Paypal so would be interested to know how you go about stopping them. Many thanks

If you specify in your listings that you accept PayPal Instant Payments but not eCheques/eChecks then you are within your rights to refuse them.

The last eCheque payment I had on t'other side took 14 days and then failed to clear. A conventional cheque or PO would have been better!

I agree - but it's so difficult to sell anything on eBid that I'm prepared to take whatever the buyer is prepared to give - I find one of the best ways is a cash deposit to a building society account - especially if you have internet access - you could also accept cash in euros - loads of people have leftovers from holidays - you could then use them on your holiday - make sure you use an exchange rate of 1.50 or over - another way is unused 1st or 2nd class stamps - you can then use them to post out the items.

Failing that - there's good old BACS - Postal Orders - cheques - Bankers Drafts and I'm sure there must be other ways to pay that I haven't mentioned.

    Nochex
    Paypal
Bank Transfer/Bill Payment [highstreet or online]
    Cheque
    Postal Order
    Bankers Draft
    Moneybookers
    PPPay [if you have to]
    Cash On Delivery
Cash in the post [sent registered only]
    Google Checkout
    ect etc

As mentioned on a previous post - Fastpay [NatWest] hasn't been in existance for a long time.
