I assumed that there was a rule about posting of, for lack of a better word, explicit pictures anyway.

As to whether there should be a ban, then that's upto G&M but then it should be one rule for all.

i completely agree but it seems explicit pictures have been allowed in the past

i dont think admin do anything unless someone feels strongly enough to report it

what i think should be done, is a warning included in the rules of the forum

Emma is still banned - seems to me a very long ban too and her name is in the list of peeps on front page - I thought only permanent banned peeps went in there - must be wrong

My feelings on the picture thing is same as you Bel. IF it offended even 1 person here then imo he should have been asked to remove or admin should've removed and quiet word to poster for future. NO WAY should a person be banned for putting up a picture like that - NO WAY!

he hasnt been banned from the forum, he hadnt realised anything had happened until he tried to log into his auctions.

his name had been struck through, so he had to write to admin and they reactivated his account.

the problem with that, is that if he hadnt tried to access his auctions, he would never have known about his sellers account..... so it could have sat there as it was - giving the impression to potential customers that he is a bad seller.

if behaviour in the forum has to be punished, i just think that, unless the person is a repeat offender, the punishment should be forum based.

does emma know how long she is banned for?

according to the rules at top of the page, the third ban is a lifetime ban...

not sure what number she is up to though

i have no idea if si would have been able to post in the kt at the time, i know he could pm, i dont think he even tried to post in here, he was more worried about sorting out his auctions

well Emma's auctions aren't affected?

Ridiculous then - totally! and he wasn't really banned was he cos it would have been his second if he had been - and yet his business was punished ffs - do not understand at all I'm sorry this just does NOT make sense to me!

I got banned for 4 months. No previous warning. The conditions set by G for me to return got sillier and sillier considering it was just an argument. A lot worse has been said and done with no punishment since I've been on here. In the end I think he forgot why he banned me. The other two who got banned were let back next day. One of them did apologise to me and admitted what he did was totally out of order.
Someone told me to PM Mark, and I was back almost immediately. I'd love to know why I wasn't banned for 24 hours or even a week. I didn't swear or post inappropriate pictures. Women always seem to get worse punishments on here for things most men would get away with, or get a slap on the wrist for. [Ask Kazzi! Kazzi's sister shouldn't have been banned either.]

dont even get me started on the banning issues here

although I have no problem with emma [anymore] and we are getting on at arms length so to speak, I am surprised she hasnt been banned before for her language, others have been banned for far far less and for longer as beryl has pointed out.

Having said that, I dont think anyone should be banned for bad language really, including emma, my point here is that everyone should be treated the same- we all know I have a mouth like a sewer, not proud of it but thats what happens when you spend years in a convent and get out into the real world eventually

I agree Kazzi, that any punishment should be even handed. Offences on the KT and Selling/Buying offences are totally different issues, and should be kept separate. Also, if someone is banned they should be notified by email, and told why they were banned. At the moment you find out you are banned as a Seller without finding out why. There have been enough posts on here where a Seller is asking why he/she is banned.
I only found out I was banned when I went to pay for an item I had won, and couldn't access My Ebid. I couldn't use the PM's to notify the Seller. I had to email someone else and get them to arrange payment for me. I couldn't even read the posts on KT. Someone used to send me relevant posts. It was a week before I could even read the KT again. G denied I had been totally cut off, but it happened.
Emma might swear, but Emma in full flood is so funny that I can't see anyone being that offended by it.. I blame the sossidge! I don't like swearing, and I'm probably one of the worst prudes on here, but I normally try to avoid the worst bits. I do however have young grandchildren, and would have been mortified if they had seen some of the older posts. [Remember the pictures of the decorated "sossidges!"]
