Sorry for my delay in posting here, i have had REAL LIFE issues to deal with ( makes a change i know ) but it happens to the best of us.

Anyhoooo i have reported 3 posts in my entire life on forums , which is about 5 ish years all told. All 3 on here.

Aprox 1 for each year i have posted.

On each occassion it was when i thought it related to child abuse.

This pic ( i thought was a GIRL not a WOMAN ) and its almost impossible to prove otherwise.

I was pleased to see it was removed, i hope by G or M cus it was OFFENSIVE to me, it looked sore and ABUSIVE.

Even if it where a woman ( not a girl , as i thought it was ) then it still looked to be a submissive , abusive photo and i didnt like it.

To make quite sure SILKCITY or what ever, was in no misunderstanding of WHO reported it i QUOTED it and make certain he would know it was me ... by showing PUBLICLY my disaproval.

NOW THEN ... Nakedness does not offend me as a rule, SEXUAL ABUSE does.

I think there has to be lines drawn.

I wont vote in the poll, cus its irrelivant and pointless and i cant be arsed < pardon the pun.

Now then ... there you go.

If you have learned only one thing of me during the last 12 months, it should be how much i have changed i no longer feel the need / urge / desire to get into arguments with people on line and when someone bothers me i tend to ignore them or move on ... I was angry at the thought emma was banned for her use of bad language and yet those kind of images where allowed.

One rule for one, one for another.

Is it a banning offence ? Not for me to decide, but i think if it was indeed a woman, not a girl then not.

But i dont make the rules ... clearly.

    Tatty Byeeeees xxx < kisses.

I assumed that there was a rule about posting of, for lack of a better word, explicit pictures anyway.

As to whether there should be a ban, then that's upto G&M but then it should be one rule for all.

It's interesting that a perceived 'misdemeanor' by a forum user in posting a "spanking pic" has resulted in a poll and thread on the appropriate 'punishment'

I have not seen the specific image in question so I can not comment fully on this particular case, but post #33 was very powerful and 'from the heart' and perhaps shows why such images should not be allowed in places like this.

I don't think the KT is a place where images of nudity or of an overtly sexual nature should be allowed. This is, after all, a Forum attached to an auction site and despite the "Chat About Anything" invitation there are ...cough...erm..cough.. I *think* many more appropriate places on the internet to post images and discuss such issues.

I am sure it was not the intention of the person who posted the image to cause offence, but it obviously did to such an extent that a complaint was made.

Any images of a sado/masochistic nature have a strong potential to provoke a passionate response whether that be of desire or disgust. Also, as already shown there can be an ambiguity about, or interpretation placed upon, such images. For that reason I don't think they really belong here.

As for the punishment being appropriate? I can't comment as I didn't see the image.

I think these days people take offence at things to easily, i believe it causes a lot of violence and hatred. People should let things go and move on, if something offends you... unless it is put in front of your face deliberately just let it go.

If people let things go and didnt take offence all the time the world would be a much better place.... and im not just talking about pics on here im on about all kinds of things from Muslims being offended by thigns that are British, people taking offence at things that are said that cause riots (Pope Benedicts comments spring to mind).....

Back on to this topic, i dont like anything like bondage or being dominated or whatever, just like i dont like anything to do with gays.... unless someone deliberately puts it in my face i just keep my gob shut the picture in question was just meant as a joke i think, i can see how some would find it offensive but all you have to do is come out of the thread and not go in it again

Didnt realise it was you Elaine, nothing is directed at you, you know i like you and i hope all of your real life issues get sorted out

as stated at the beginning of this thread, it was not about who did or didnt report the image

everyone is entitled to report images that they find distasteful

the thread was to find out views on the punishment given

which was to give the member a strike through his name

is that appropriate action for someone posting a picture that meets the disapproval of other forum members?

    or

should the punishment be in the form of warning or a ban from the forum?

as for the image itself - in my opinion it looked nothing like a child and i know for a fact - if it had, silkcity would have been the last person to post such an image

personally i thought it looked like a shop window dummy

the whole thread is because I am curious about the punishment and views on it

.....as far as silkcity goes, i doubt he gives a monkeys about what anyone thinks of the punishment given
