So why on earth do they insist on sending you TONS of the SHI*

Clogging up emails and doorways.

We must fill a black bag a week with unwanted newspapers and flyers, junk mail etc.

We dont have a local re-cycling place and no transport to go further afield. I have asked them UMPTEEN times NOT to post the free newspapers and other shi*e ... do they listen ? DO THEY ****!

Emails ... i dont know about you but i just tick the box for DELETE ALL then scan the page for NON SPAM and untick those few.

Your only allowed 99 blocked emails usualy or else id BLOCK 99.9% of the shi*e that comes my way.

WASTE OF MONEY, TIME , RESOURCES.!

you can stop the junk mail by registering for the
Mail Preference Service

I've found it works really well, I even used it to stop the junk mail being delivered to the empty flat downstairs to me (from the last 7 occupants) because I got sick to death of writing return to sender & posting it all back.

If you haven't already done so I suggest you sign up for the
Telephone Preference Service as well.

That has stopped over 99% of the cold calls I used to get, if one does get through you just say I'm registered with the TPS, they can't get off the phone quick enough, because if you complain they're inline for a fine.

I read a few weeks back that royal mail suspended on of their posties because he was giving that info out Gothicina (about how to stop your junk mail) and the villagers were all signing up for it and royal mail didn't like it ! (as they get paid to deliver the crap)

I am have signed up to spamcop again to filter my spam... it is stopping approx 300 - 500 spam emails a day. On their news page, it says that there has been a sudden surge in the past week or two in spam email being sent

Sheesh Mel. I have a "throwaway" email address I use for competitions and surveys. The day before yesterday I emptied it. I just checked it. 273 emails since Saturday. 99% Spam, and 99% from the good old US of A. I have to go on the Website to open the mail, so the Spam clogs up their Server not my Inbox, and though they claim to have some sort of Mail-Washer, it obviously doesn't work. . I only get the odd bit of Spam in my main Inbox, and I just block that.

yep - that's why I got spamcop - just sat here for 30 minutes and I have 16 spam emails with the most wonderous email subject headers !!! lol I don't get much spam on ANY other account - just my .com - I think the american spammers think I am a "local" - thankfully it expires soon and I have got co.uk well established, so I won't be renewing the .com ! I don't get ANY spam on my "throwaway" googlemail account

Another thing you can do with junk mail through your letterbox is if they contain a return envelope, send it back, if it's not stamped, send it anyway and they have to pay the postage costs. If everyone did this, maybe they would start to realise how p****d off people get.

or better still stick a label over the address on the prepaid envelope and use it to send your own mail for free lol - whats wrong with them paying the cost of a stamp as compensation for the aggro they cause you/time they steal off you to pick it up, recycle it, bin it, etc
