Default How often do YOU do it?

Me, I find the urge irresistable about once a year. Oh, I get the occasional impulse more frequently, but nothing I can't easily resist. But then I finally feel I just have to do it, and I throw myself into the task with a passion.

That irresistable urge struck this week, so I set aside some time and did it. As a result, we now have a wholly different layout of furniture in the living room. I rearranged the chairs, the sofa, the table, everything. I like the new placement, but I'm quite sure that, given 12 months or so, I'll be bored with it and will have to move things round again. Quirky or what?

That's what my wife used to say!

Actually, I don't know how unusual it is for a man to enjoy rearranging furniture, but I think I got into the habit because, when I was a kid, I always preferred to tidy my bedroom myself because I was afraid my model kits and toys would get knocked about if anyone else did it! (Ahh, what a shrink could make out of that!)

I like to change the room around frequently, although it drives the family mad! It just feels cleansing!

i said this on another board the other day. When lynn was being naughty and moving stuff about , when she is not well ( BAD LYNN! )

Anyway, when i was a young woman i used to do IT on an almost daily basis LMAO ... TRUE.

Hubby used to come home and his catch phrase was ELAINE, WHERE IS THE TV TODAY ? ( whilst rolling his eyes ) lol

Now i barely move myself never mind the furniture

I must admit, we have the same layout now as a year ago - must be lacking in something eh?

    Lack of room I guess!

lol, I just had a memory of something that happened at my aunts many years ago? She went to bed and woke the next morning to see all her ornaments and knick-knacks in different places? She nearly moved because of it!!

I do it as little as possible.
The items in my home tend to find places where they best fit, are most handy or need to be. Moving them around simply ruins the carefully thought out positioning that they were previously in.
