Sorry to hear about your problem, Damian. I hope you've not given yourself an ulcer debating with me on the Al Qaeda thread?!

Thanks, lol. But no, I don't think it's an ulcer.

I'm really sorry for not getting back to this thread Damian - I do hope you find out the cause for your pain. Any ideas at all or not?

Me? I'm ok thanks have good and bad days but it's all part of my condition.

Once they diagnose you and start to treat it hopefully you'll feel better. xx

My missus reckons I should stop looking in the mirror and the pain will stop, but the doctors can't agree on a cause (so far). It's possibly a partially blocked intestine, but apparently it's very hard to tell without a surgeon having a good rummage around. Apparently tomorrow I am going to have a barium meal followed by another scan to see if they can get a better idea before resorting to the knife.

Nothing productive to add that you would appreciate on a public forum so i will just wish you a speedy recovery whatever it is!

Well I've had one of those meals - not as nice as a carvery but I'm sure you'll survive

Don't like the sound of a blockage in the intestine but let's not go there just yet eh?

Good luck for tomorrow and please let me know how you get on hun ok?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery xx

Thanks for your kind thoughts, all of you.
If I am up to it once they've had another round of poking and prodding, I'll let you know what I know, if anything.

    Only just seen this.

As someone who suffers from excruciating pain, I can sympathise. I hope you get the results you want today, and a simple but effective solution is found.
