    Cus i have ONE OF the highest feedback here, yet one of the lowest buddie points scoring ... so thats confusing in itself.

    BUT ... More than that how can someone with say 10 buddie points ( for example ) bid on buddie auctions where the price is 100 buddie points ?

    Anyone got a LAYMANS TERMS run through ? please ?
    Well I know that you get MORE buddypoints for buying than you get for seling in total.

    The only buddypoints you get for selling something is when the buyer can be bothered to leave you feedback. (I currently have SELLERS that cannot be bothered to leave me feedback, even though I left them good feedback a while ago)

    Buyers get feedback 3 times from the time they bid on something, win it, and then get feedback.

    I was thinking the other day could it be changed so that we get the points for leaving good feedback instead of receiving it after we have sold something. I to am a little anoyed at people who cant be bothered to leave feedback for me. Not that its a lot of points its just nice to build your score.

    I think the scores are high from bidding on auctions before the system was changed.. I think i would be a good idea if they let the telly auction run out and got some smaller things for us poor soul's to bid on,, cause lets face it at this rate we will all be here till we are 90 trying to get the telly, If I could make enough buddy points to get the telly i wouldnt need it cause I would be a millionare with all the stuff I sold.
    I tried getting people to join up, and yes they did, and upgraded to life gold but unfortunatly they looked at what i said and went straight to the site and did it so I missed out again, now for the 3rd time, Can't be bothered with it all hun can you?

    I wonder whether - if we don't have enough buddy points for the telly - whether we'd be allowed to bid what we do have and pay the difference in cash

    People with high feedback from before the buddy system obviously won't have buddy points so anybody earning their feedback prior to that is why they don't have many points.

    Also as Lin says, the buddy point system was changed at the time of the fiasco of my almost winning the tv and now winning that tv is not a possible thing for anybody.

    I was put back to 579 points at that point and have sold loads since and bought a few bits - think I've earned in total since then 0.9 points

    I don't use mine as I know I won't earn them again under the present system - it's just nice to be on the front page as far as advertising goes.

    Good point. I never thought of that. Maybe you could put it to G&M.

    5) What are Buddy Points?

    The eBid Buddy Points program is eBid's own Loyalty Card system. You can earn points during your trading career that can be built up and used throughout the site.

    6) How can I earn Buddy Points?

    Buddy Points are earnt by referring your buddies and friends. Add your friends email addresses to the form on this page. They will then be sent an email inviting them to come and join eBid. Once they join you will earn 1 point for each. If they then upgrade to Silver you will earn another, if they upgrade to Gold you will earn 2 points.

    Points are also available via the following trigger points.

    * Referring a Buddy = 1 points
    * Buddy Silver Upgrade = 1 points
    * Buddy Gold Upgrade = 2 points
    * Making a Bid Meeting Reserve = 0.3% of reserve price (max 5 points)
    * Purchasing via Winning Bid = 1.0% of final bid (max 5 points)
    * Purchasing Using BuyNow = 1.0% of BuyNow price (max 5 points)
    * Receiving Positive Feedback = 0.5% of final bid OR BuyNow price (max 5 points)

    These amounts are subject to change.

    7) How can i spend Buddy Points?

    You can use your Buddy Points to bid on our Buddy Auctions. These can be seen on the frontpage and also in the Buddy Points section of My eBid. Bid on items like Plasma TVs and MP3 Players.

    I've bought stuff. Left and received FB. I have 9.6 odd Buddy Points. The whole thing is a joke. At this rate I couldn't bid on a Postage Stamp, let alone a Plasma TV.
