Thought I might add some keywords into the store's metatag boxes. Some from the list and some from todays news. I bet 'Reeves' and 'Budget' are riding high at the moment, so I may well those in with the hope that google search picks them up - anything for a sale.
I know you're kidding, but... That kind of trickery would immediately get such a seller on my avoid list.

OTOH if you're into craft work and come up with a line of voodoo Rachel dolls, complete with a set of pins, you could have a top seller I reckon!

You would never really know if you had hit a meta tag word as it would be an invisible direction. Ever wondered why so many searches are not really what you are looking for, but could be interesting or informtive (what is this eBid thing)? Remember this IS Google, after all.

As for the Rachel 'crying in your misery' dolls. Seems like you need a cross between Cliff Richard and Jimi Hendix in terms of publicity (go on - you can work this out!). Do we need any doll when we have just one of the real thing.

Personally I would like a muppet version of David Lammy - Oh, we have a real one of those as well!

Morning Sophisticated Swashbuckling Salesmen. Satisfactorily Shared any Sensational Semi-Symetrical Sales this week? You bet.

As nobody has yet worked out what TV programme the opening greetings have come from, here is a crossword style clue - Bensons Partner Mishandles Departed Animal (Character two words, Programme four words) Answer displayed when somebody guesses correctly.

634 UK active stores today, down another 5 stores on last Saturday at 639.

FIFTEEN down in te last two weeks, au revoir, we will really miss you.

Why look at stores - they show members commitment to the site. They give a sort of indication about the trends of new Platinum sellers (who get free stores) and indicate that they have a specific types of goods that they want to be found more easily by the casual visitor to eBid. Surprised that even more people are not using this Platinum seller free tool. Perhaps we need even more people to commit to the site by launching a store when they become Platinum sellers.

UK listings today 3,896,627 Last week 3,873,949

USA listings today 3,274,658 Last week 3,309,266

Canada listings today 2,834,524 Last week 2,852,928

Germany listings today 2,857,344 Last week 2,876,326

France listings today 2,850,075 Last week 2,867,519

Every nation shows a fall in listings this week, except the UK.

Please note, there will be duplicated international figures as one seller may list the same item in a number of countries

However, with the current American position of 'Me First' I am not sure if the people outside of the USA will get a look-in on Google these days.

Expensive $249 per month for 25,000 listings. Or for smaller sellers $29 per month for 100 listings.

AdBlock+ Interesting and useful side effect.

I added Adblock + to get rid of all of the adverts and pop-ups appearing on eBid

    It worked

An interesting and useful bonus is that it also appears to kill the adverts on YouTube

Not just the intial adverts, but those that appear halfway through a piece of music as well.

Probably also works on YouTube videos

    Possibly my best install of the year ! . . . . YEA !!

Agreed! I've been using it for a couple of years with no problems.

Yes, also been using it for several years. I occasionally make small donations to the project. Likewise to VLC, Wikipedia, Archive.org and others.

Generosity? No, self-interest. If such projects aren't supported we'll lose them.

Form History Control for Firefox is a little known extension that was my best install of the decade. I don't know if the same extension is available for Chrome, but why use Google Chrome and hand all your privacy to Google when you could be using Firefox?

I had tried Google Chrome. Only had it for 2 weeks and got rid of it because I had soooooo much junk mail coming in.

Right now, using Foxfire and almost no spam mail. ( maybe 3 a year )
I also have Edge because I couldn't post to BlueSky with Foxfire.

I am planning on downloading Opera. Don't really like Edge.
