When I first joined eBid, I did the membership right off the bat.

I used eBid for 1 1/2 years and then shut down - NOT deleting my account, had paid membership.

I was then selling on eBay and finally gained some selling experience.

I did come back to eBid years later and started my different shops.
I am okay with this site and I do have my own website.

MY only problem is making ME to promote myself.
I have an Pinterest account and now BlueSky account.
MY problem is that I am not like everyone else that has a cellphone and is on the computer/or/cellphone.
For ME, I don't like the thought of living through the internet

When I get more free time, I need to see all the updates of Pinterest.
BlueSky, I have a problem posting pictures for some reason. I DO know that the last sale ($72) came from BlueSky.

It's foolish that people who join and get a membership get upset that they paid for membership.
Just keep the account and when they are ready to put some effort into this site, they can.
There are some many of you that have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and such can quick post " hey, I have this for sale on eBid ".

    Just my thoughts.

I need to go outside and get some work done. Too much time on the internet.

Some good points raised there. Will have to look into self promotion and using social media sites to direct people to my listings here on eBid...

Thanks again for the helpful hints and great posts.

@PoliceQuilts I'm not sure, has V caught on over there? I thought it was mainly european, being started by some group in the Baltic states.

@BittyBoy Seems to me you have an opportunity. I mean, your mum can't possibly keep track of her 100s of purchases. So now you quietly relist them and make a bit of dosh!

It can be quite surprising what does sell on Ebid. The last two days looking at early morning snap-shots stamps and postcards have done predictably well (because there are so many of them and ebid is known as a place to look for them) with 21 sold between them.

I'm not saying the 10x auction re-list is wrong. Just that it should be looked at in conjunction with the competition for visibility both on-site and on GS.
The 10 x auto-renew with re-list every 4 days seems to be the go for me - RTS does not work for me.

Not sure about that info about the stamps and postcards "21 sold" items comes from - I have sold over 50 stamp item since 11/7/25 to 3 different buyers. (12 sold in last week) Recently I started a notice of recent addition and coming updates on all my listings - seems like a good idea?

Since I am selling my personal collection and my stamps would be thrown away if not sold - my items are good quality and lower priced to sell. I have only just started to list my coins in the last week (no sales yet) and not sure of pricing so could take a while to sort that out. Any advice would be welcome.

Small problem is: Feedback here - I receive only about 1 feedback for 4 sales I'm interested if this is common or not.

NO !! No John ! - As desperate I am for a bit of extra money I won't cheat my mum like that. She's made those purchases on the V site using her own money and so these items are rightfully her's for her to enjoy or resell if she so wishes.

I need to find a way to bump start my sales on here !!! - I know I would do pretty well if the right people get to see my listings !

    @ gonzo45

Hi mate, When you use auto relist on here do they charge you any fees to auto relist stuff ?

I'm a full platinum member on here so was wondering if there are any charges for premature take down and relist ?

Most of my listings on here have been up since March 2025 so I am wondering maybe an take down and relist might be in my favour to gain a better visibility online and attract buyers to here ?

Thanks for your encouraging post !

Well, that's great to hear that you've sold stuff here on eBid other than books, postcards and stamps !

What's the strategy to get people to your eBid listings ? Do you run auctions with a low starting bid to tempt people to bid on your stuff ?... or do you sell via buy it now ?

Sorry for all the questions as I am also a new seller on here now trying hard to learn the setup here and make some much needed sales on some of my good items !
No need to apologize, we were all new to the site at one time.

I don't really have a strategy except for that I have over 3,ooo listings and they are all shared to Pinterest. MY listing are all BIN (Buy it Now).

I mostly try to keep my item prices low and shipping low. I look up a lot of "sold" items on eBay and undercut their price. I also offer the buyer a chance to save even a bit more buy using the MAO (Make An Offer) option, and I offer combined shipping and free insurance.

I also list world wide although international postage is a killer.

If I am unsure on coin values I check eBay live and sold prices to see the reality as sometimes the online price guides don’t reflect what is achievable. For all its problems, it is a great archive for pricing if you disregard the obvious scam listings.

All I would add is that when you get into minor details on coins it is easy to miss a valuable one. It is so specialist, I get caught out all the time. I listed a coin recently as a certain variant, it looked right to me, I even cheated and got some help from AI which was certain I had identified it correctly. I have a repeat buyer on eBay who is very knowledgeable and proved all the research I had done to be completely incorrect.

When it comes to the silver coins, it is worth weighing them and cross checking that against the melt price so you at least don’t sell them for less than the intrinsic silver value.

*I think your Netherlands 1/4G is a Dutch East Indies coin. I haven’t had one of those but noticed the Arabic? Writing and thought it must be a colonial one.

Don't know about "premature take down and relist" - Maybe just bulk edit a few ? or ask Admin?

All my Listings are set up like this:

    In "Section Two"

    Auto Repost = 10 Close Listing =After 4Days

    No charge on relist

Maybe try a different number of days until you find what suits you?
