    Ah the cheapskates.

If the potential customer is giving me hassle before they buy something ( and they have bothered to open an account ) I block them, otherwise there is a high chance of after-sale issues.

I do my best to sell good quality, hard to get stuff, at a fair price. If there is any quibbling, demands for discounts, requests for other postal or payment methods; then who wants the sale ? Somebody else, creating less problems, will buy it.

The 'deal' is not everything !

    1. I write my own labels with a biro, never bought them from obay.
    2. Selling things like vases and bowls it's easy to put my notes inside the items where the buyer would find it hard to miss even if just wanted to bin it.
Yes, I put my notes in a book/magazine just sticking out as if a bookmark. And electronics, often the note is taped to or around the item. I doubt my buyers miss seeing the note. Though whether they read it, of course I've no idea. Though I like to think my buyers are at the smart end of the spectrum! They often have fascinating hobbies and certainly aren't buying Chinese throwaway fashion rubbish.

"Thank you for your interest. I'd be happy to move it across, there will of course be a 10% higher price."

Who knows, you might even get someone time poor cash rich who'd go for that.

No, I need to word that better: a small 10% uplift in the price.

Morning Eco Eccentrics, Deals Delt Daily this week, you bet.

650 UK active stores today, down 7 stores on last Saturday at 657. We are going backwards - perhaps due to the inability to upload pictures.

UK listings today 4,391,692 Last week 4,369,897

USA listings today 3,822,678 Last week 3,800,431

Canada listings today 3,420,904 Last week 3,399,191

Germany listings today 3,418,938 Last week 3,400,432

France listings today 3,409,356 Last week 3,390,903

Please note, there will be duplicated figures as one seller may list the same item in a number of countries

For monthly network gathered statistics please look at https://www.similarweb.com/website/ebid.net/#overview

Somebody explain this to me, please - If the German site is in German, why is the French site in English and why is the Canadian site not given the option of Canadian or English ? - Just Asking

I don't think we're going backwards at at all. Although the number of shops has gone down by a mere 7, listing numbers for all the countries you're reporting have gone up. Yes, there might be some duplication but the trend is definitely Upwards.

Although shop numbers are one indicator they can't be taken in isolation. There are an unknown number of members, like myself, who don't need a shop at all but are still listing and probably a larger number who have opened their shop(s), possibly years ago(?), increasing stock in them but aren't opening any new ones.

Please don't let me put you off recording the weekly numbers, I think it's a great idea and you're doing a great job which should interest everyone who sells here.
