Still doesn't work when I try to do a search. Also tried the Start Shopping....and it didn't do a search. Not making it easy for people to find items here.

Search also works for me on Firefox
The search box on my eBid page hasn't worked properly since the last upgrade. It will work if I press enter on my keyboard but not if I hit the red 'Go' button on the PC monitor. When the changes were made there was an overlap of the eBid v Ebay bit which blocked the 'Go' button and it has never been fixed although reported at the time. Using Chrome, windows 7.
The search box on the start shopping page does work for me though.

You can join eBid :- HERE
Seems to be working for me from the home page clicking on the GO button. I'm using Chrome with Windows 7.
I asked my partner to find ebid and search for an item and he struggled to even find my items he hated the whole site, said if he came from Google he'd hit the back button. Not great feedback
look at just a comparison with feebay. What's with the huge ad at the top directing off ebid, everything is directed at getting more sellers to join but little thought about attracting buyers.
Also to add, most sellers are using pcs but it's known most buyers are now shopping using smartphones and tablets. Sites have to cater to buyers on those devices. If it looks awful and buyers are put off, doesn't matter how many sellers you attract imo it's the buyers we all want and that we can agree on.
I'm no expert on site design but surely it can be more attactive to buyers who just want to get deals not sell
