As you say, the rule only applies to YDC listings in the competition element of the event. Non-competition listings have always been allowed to use whatever enhancements the seller wishes.

Then it depends on if you want competition entries to have an equal chance of winning, or sellers being able to enhance their chance of winning by adding extras.

Not overly bothered. I'm not a YDC regular - I haven't even raised the interest to start listing on the site again since the revamp.

If I did list on YDC and the playing field was not level then I wouldn't bother with the comp.

YDC rules have existed and been honed over many years, I don't see the need to suddenly start messing with them. Still... that's up to the regulars more than me.

In the interests of a level playing field I have voted for 3.

I would change it to:

Auctions using Reserves, Buy Now prices or listing enhancements (eg Featured, etc) will be excluded from the competition element.

I agree with this.

Let me see if I understand what is being said here ...

1. Enhancements, reserve and BIN are OK if the YDC auction is not an entry in the competition.
2. The rule as it stands is not clear on this point and needs to be more explicit.

Did I get it right?
