Thread: Cocktails!!! and Music

    Happy SUNday everyone!
It's a beautiful morning, I have been busy tidying up the front garden flower bed and collected armfuls of weeds, and all the untidy foliage from the hyacinths, daffs and tulips. I know you are supposed to let the leaves die back so that it strengthens the bulbs for next year, so I have tied quite a few up into little bunches - looks so much neater now, but still a lot more to do.

Hunger drove me indoors, so I'm being treated to a full English brekkie by th'owd man!

Pos, your pictures are stunning, beauties indeed. I bet you are so happy to have a garden of your own at last.
Gardening adds years to your life and life to your years !!!

We are going over to Dom and Lauras shortly to see the grandchildren, looking forward to that.
No time for cooking Sunday roast today, we shall have to stop off at one of our favourite country inns for a drink and a meal on the way back. Yayyy - no cooking or washing up!

Sues, I hope the weather isn't too hot and humid for you, and rosacea doesn't trouble you. Make sure to drink plenty of cold drinks. xxx

Lol Trish, you need to revisit my third picture, it's of a Phallus Erectus, a rare specimin.

No sun here today, grey and windy.

I was quite taken aback with the third picture Pos...... but I didn't like to mention what I thought it looked like in case you (mistakenly) thought I had a dirty mind!

It was brought to my attention yesterday when my 2 DIL were out in the garden, I heard lots of gigglesnorts and pointing.
Of course me being of pure mind hadn't noticed it before.

I love having a garden, it was very unkempt when I moved in and I am spending lots of time trying to sort it out.
No idea what bushes I've got growing so if anyone can name the two that I photgraphed I woul be grateful.

Decorating is on hold, my house and garage are full of my son's furniture, he sold his house a couple of weeks back and needed to store furniture until he gets the keys for his next house, hopefully next week. He is staying at his MIL's house for now.
Why does conveyancing take sooooooo long.

Hmmm, word of warning Pos, as each of my children have left their home here, they stashed stuff away in the garage and in every available space indoors.
They take the necessities when settled and leave the rest of their stuff behind - I'm swamped out with their stuff - even going back to their schooldays. Trouble is, when I look at their personal belongings I go all soppy and can't bear to part with anything.

I haven't long got back from my day out, so will answer your question briefly without research - what colour are the branches on the white flowered shrub? If they are black or dark coloured then I think it could be Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) or maybe Myrtus communis - google it, you might find the answer.

OK Tony, nice aunty Trish will get you a beer, seeing as I'm in a good mood after cuddling my just adorable new baby granddaughter Ava, and my cheeky little monkey Isla, who gets prettier every time I see her.
    I feel so blessed.
