You are still covered as you are shipping to the stated shipping address, that might not be the address of the account holder and would still be the address stated on the Transaction Details Page. If however they have simply asked that you ship to another address you would not be covered.

no you are not you have to send to the buyers confirmed address to be covered by the seller protection programme, the buyer can state what ever address they want if it does not tally with there reg address the seller is not protected,

to send to a diffferent address the buyer would have to reg the address they want sending to as there confirmed address, as they dont live there and there bank details are not registered there, they would be trying to obtain goods by deception with a unconfirmed address which again does not qualify for seller protection

the only way PP allow to a different address than the buyers reg address is the "gift address" those people on the forum didn't even know the correct term, however the seller is still not covered by sending to that address ,did you not read the terms and conditions i posted they dont cover gift address

As I have said, if the buyer adds the address and states that address as the delivery address, which some of this type of buyer have done with me, then that is the address on the Paypal Transaction page, so under Paypal Requirements you are covered.

IF they simply ask you to send to a different address then you are not covered.

IF they add an address and state that address at the time of making a payment via Paypal then you are covered because that will be the address on the Paypal Transaction page.

They sold that Comic on the bay on 6th January. I would guess they don't actually have the item to send as mentioned before, for the following reasons:

The one they have on eBid at the moment is exactly the same one as the one they have already sold on the bay, the picture has the same identical faults - so just bad shop management by them still having the item available here.

There is no money making involved - the Hamster Comic sold on the bay for £3.98 with free postage (that was on a Best Offer price 1p below the original £3.99) - yours comes to a total of £3.75.

I can understand your reasons for not wanting to send to someone completely different, although there was an opportunity to pinch the buyer by enclosing your details along with the item.

You have 1,649 comics for sale (which is fantastic) - but only 53 of them have the keyword comic in the title. Had all of those comics had comic in the title then that ebay sale for the other seller may never have happened, potentially the buyer could have been buying off you here instead. Keywords are vital for your listings to get good exposure, off site and on site.

I know there was an opportunity to "pinch" the intended recipient, but my point is that it looks like they sold the item and quite possibly didn't have it in their possession to sell in the first place.

As for the word "comic", if I googled that I would get rather a lot of items showing up, not necessarily for sale. Therefore unless the item has the word comic in it i'll use other key words, such as artists name or characters appearing in that issue, as I think if someone is looking for a comic then they are most likely looking for a specific title etc...
But that's just my way of thinking, and I'm not saying your is wrong.

Now only another 22,000 comics still to list, and that's only the American ones. Eventually i'll get round to the British ones like Eagle, Lion, 2000AD, and so forth.

ive used the above quote from PP several times your simply not getting it it says if the buyer asks the seller to send to a different address how do you think they would ask you ? written at the bottom of the transaction page ? that would not be a confirmed address its meaning less , it has to be a confirmed address by there bank details, the seller is not protected if they send to a unconfirmed address thats not linked to there bank

This will be my last post on the subject as my head is beginning to hurt banging it against a wall and the feeling of deja-vu is creeping up on me. So just for you, and anyone else who is interested here is how you add another address:

How to Add a Different Shipping Address to My PayPal Account

PayPal lets you pay for online purchases, and many online merchants support the service. When you pay for an order, PayPal asks for the shipping address where you want the merchant to send your order. Although your home address is the default, you can add alternative addresses for yourself or for gifts sent to other people. PayPal also lets you associate credit cards with your own alternative shipping addresses.

Step 1
Log in to your PayPal account. Place your mouse's cursor over the "Profile" menu, then click "Add or Edit Street Address" on the list of options. This displays a list of your current shipping addresses.

Step 2
Click the "Add Address" button at the bottom of the list of addresses. Click "Add My Address" to add an alternative address of your own or "Add a Gift Address" to add another person's shipping address.

Step 3
Type the street address, city and zip code in the proper boxes, then select the state from the drop-down list. If you created an alternative address for yourself, click the box next to any credit card you wish to associate with the address under "Associated Credit Cards."

I had an eBay seller/buyer who bought 4 sets of tooth brush heads from me over the course of a week or so, each one had a different shipping address and recipient name on the Paypal Transaction page, and as I have said, several times, that the goods are covered under the seller protection so long as they are sent to the address stated on that page.
