Tony Blair today says:
To "rip up the alliance" between Scotland and the rest of the UK would not be sensible "politically, economically or even emotionally".
Alex Salmond has said previously about Tony Blair:

If there is a YES vote, the first Finance Minister of an independent Scotland will most definitely be able to cut the costs of warmongering from the Scottish Government’s budget and find better things to spend the money on.
And if there is a YES vote Scotland will show more respect to other nations than the current UK and will play a more constructive role in international relations than has been seen from the current UK. International politics will benefit from an independent Scotland.

Yet still he sticks to the 'Jock down the pub says currency union will happen - so it will' mantra.
The word 'scaremongering' has been used more times during this campaign than throughout all of recorded history.
I think the definition of the word is now: Any unpalatable truth for which there is no reasoned rebuttal.
A bit like the word 'moratorium', which most people had never heard of a few years back and then suddenly it was everywhere.
