Notprovided was part of a buyer's address in Paypal.

I knew straight away that the buyer had put Notprovided rather than leaving it blank, as most would have done. As I hand write addresses is was easy for me to leave Notprovided out, now I'm curious, for those that print buyers postal address from Paypal do you get the chance to edit the addresses?

I believe it depends on which method is used, when the money is transfered via the PayPal system as to whether a senders address is displayed, or not.

I copy the address from the paypal email that comes through,paste it into word, enlarge, do any alterations and print, the only time I get anything in it like you say is the Irish ones with default or something on.

I book parcels through various 3rd parties, and always have the option of editing an address should I need to.

So everyone get's the chance to edit buyer postal addresses, I wonder if the buyer does receive any with Notprovided as part of the address. I know it's the house number and postcode that matters.

It used to be a similar case for addresses in Ireland & Canada (that I know of), if the address was short.

Rather than leave a blank, the automated system would insert "default" in the blanks.

I expect it's the same with "Notprovided".

You could be right Squern, though it does seem strange that in approx 2000 transactions that's the first time I've had 'Notprovided' in a Paypal address, and no one else has replied that they had it in a Paypal address.
I get lots of doubles in short addresses, a lot of the London addresses have London, London in them, and I think Cardiff is another one with short address, so Cardiff, Cardiff is another common one. At a guess, I'd say Paypal registration can't be completed without something inserted in each box.

Why would you use an address from PayBay?

I woudn't want you to ship to my paybay address.
I don't trust PayBay enough to give them my REAL street address.
